I remember reading somewhere that the Springfield XD was built from the ground up for the .40 s&w, and 357 sig rounds. I also read that GLOCK has data saying that those two rounds accelerate wear and tear in their weapons, especially the 357 sig. I have owned GLOCKs 31 and 32. The only reason I chose the GLOCKs at that time was because of the tenifer finish. I now hear that Springfield Armory has addressed the problem with the finishes on the XD, and that newer XDs come with a finish very comparable to GLOCK's instead of the old finish. Anyone know any truth to any of this stuff. If the XDs have a better finish, I most definetely have to have one now!
