It’s not, really. If you’ve got some sort of an air compressor, the stuff you need to prepare and paint is likely less than $100.
You can cure it in a regular oven.
Happy to provide advice if you want it, but I started with Cerakote using a tabletop Harbor Freight blast cabinet, a dewalt portable compressor, a hobby lobby airbrush, and a big Kamado smoker as an oven.
I had surprisingly good results on my first few tries, despite my ignorance, and it’s gotten a lot better since with the accumulation of more specific equipment.
