Does anyone have a list of current scope options for those who want a gloss black finish? Seems like a few years ago there were more options.

I'm not looking to start a debate on everyone's personal tastes. If the major vendors would add a filtering option to include scope finish, then I probably wouldn't be posting this. Please don't reply by saying go search on eBay. I'm aware of that option.

Thanks!

leupold is about the only game in town. Swift makes some, and Tasco and Barska have 1 or 2 models. I don't know about anything aver 600 bucks or so. That's air so rarefied to me that I don't even know what's up there.

thanks for the tip on Swift. Hadn't looked at them yet. Looks like they have several models to choose from, like Leupold.

Why isn't gloss more popular I wonder? On a rifle with blued finish and wood stock, I think gloss looks the best. I have a Leupold VX-1 with gloss finish on my .280 Ruger M77 MKII and it looks really sharp. I think it would look funky with a matte finish...

Can make almost any leupold scope with a gloss finish through their custom shop. It wont be cheap, but if you're striving for a certain look with certain features, they can do a lot for you.

Hit up eBay for used scopes. I've gotten a couple older Redfields made in Denver and they are excellent.
