GOA or other group

I've been looking around and haven't seen a recent post on this. I've seen a lot of people recently are upset with the NRA which I have been a member of since I was 18. I have been looking for another group to support along with or instead of the NRA and wanted to see if any you all felt strongly about any group. Is Gun Owners of America a good group to support? Any other thoughts?

Thanks

I would suggest you join two:

1) Second Amendment Foundation (SAF): Donations are tax-deductible. SAF is active and constantly filing suits on behalf of the 2A and gun owners.

2) Gun Owners of America (GOA): GOA is active and has easily sent legislative letters that you basically just click and they are sent. You can also modify or change the letters. GOA also files the occasional law suit, like against the bump stock ban.

Im an NRA lifer and actually forget about it most of the time. I don’t pay any attention to them and focus more on my state organization.

Recently, I joined a new gun club and they require NRA membership. They asked me if I had joined. I had to think about for a second and said, “Oh yeah. Is life member good enough?” The guy even chuckled a little bit.

I'm an NRA endowment member (ie. gave them more $$$) and I bought my dad a Life membership. I generally give a few $$$ to NRA-ILA each election season. That said, I joined the GOA $20 per month plan to get my life membership there just before the 2020 election. All my balls are not in the same basket ... so to speak. 8-O

Anyone have thoughts on the American Gun Owners Alliance? http://amgoa.org/

I was pleased to see that they flagged some WA legislation that the state's official legislation page hadn't tagged as firearm related... despite having "firearm" in the title!

The problem is their website does not give any real information about the organization or its Board of Directors. It sort of sounds like a one person operation and there is no disclosure as to their finances. I, at least, would need to know quite a bit more before diverting money to them that otherwise would have gone to another operation.

Folks that know from experience what happens when a government takes away firearms.
Not like most would fight anyway.

I actually met their organizational head at a SAF national meeting. They have produced two dynamite videos that I wish were shown far more frequently and widely than they are now. If I were a Jew, they would get considerable money from me. The problem is they need far more Jewish members than they have now. If they could really penetrate the Jewish community in America, I believe they could derail the anti gun efforts of the ultra liberals in the Democratic Party.
