In that order if you have to narrow it down more. I figure the .380 can ride around in your pocket for back up.

AR 15
Mossberg 22
Either 12g
CZ52 or T.357

Reasons you can Plink with .22's on the cheap, You can hunt with either of the Ar or 12g depending on the hunt, and you only need a pistol to fight your way to your long gun so take your normal carry.

Depends on what shooting you want to do when you get there. I am doing a similar trip this year, but I already know that I will be taking my 20g shotgun because I will be doing some pheasant farm walking with my Brittany and my old dad.

Besides that, I haven't really made up my mind. If I'm going to go light as possible, then I'll skip anything else. I don't see me doing that, though. Probably take the CAR, since I don't have to have a rifle case for it, just break it down and stick it in a suitcase, just like I can do with my side by side shotgun.

If I go with anything more, it will be a pain as far as packing the car is concerned. We have 2 kids and a dog to pack in there, too, after all, and their stuff.

I'll probably only shoot once or twice while up there, besides the farm walking with dad and the dog, so I don't really need to take the whole contents of my safe. I'll take my normal carry pistols (full sized 9mm and j frame .38), .22 pistol for plinking with siblings, wife's pistol, and maybe an old .38 I've been thinking about giving to my dad. Don't need to take a .22 rifle since there will be at least one available at each of the relatives' places we're staying in. So, four pistols and the shotgun. Maybe one more pistol, maybe the AR. Probably the AR, probably not the old .38 since he's flying in and doesn't like the hassle of flying with a gun anyway.

So, for you, it depends on what it is you are doing when you get there, and how much room you have. Obviously, if you are driving a Geo Metro, your room requirements are very different than if you have a Suburban. We're taking my wife's full sized car, so we have plenty of room for everyone and all our stuff. Just have to prioritize according to what you really want to do when you get there vs. how much room you have.
