Good question; I've heard anywhere from 200 to 600 rounds as 'the magic number'.

The point of the number is to gain a clear knowledge that your pistol/magazine/ammo combination will work 100% of the time. The smaller the sampling done to prove this, the likely less valid the results will be.

Some feed and ejection issues are not immediately obvious, and many times magazine issues are also 'occasional'.
 
Ive over 100 rounds gone and not one issue. Only issues were those of "Shooter error" such as not pulling trigger all the way back.

I hope that if I do discover a problem round; I will automatically rack it out and continue.
