For most of us long-time handgunners, we get a bit jaded about new grips, even though we'll typically be the first in line to buy the latest offerings. Often, we adopt new grips simply because they look better to us, occasionally, because they feel better. VZ was a major innovator, and G10 took the market by storm, for sure.
A member here, a while back, had posted a pic of one of his CZ-75s sporting some grips I'd not seen before -- Lok Grips - and I was curious, so I ordered some for a CZ-75 Compact.
I ordered the "thin grips" in "dark red/black" and they came with o-rings and torx screws (yeah, I hate the Phillips-head screws that are OEM on most CZs).
Holy cow, what a difference. The CZ wood stocks were much prettier than the original plastic panel, but they were thicker and increased trigger reach, so frankly, weren't used. But the Lok thin grips: perfection! I'll carry this pistol a lot more now, as the ergonomics are splendid and it points so well now (not that it didn't before).
Anyway, if you're in doubt, order some. They're less expensive than the VZ offerings, look fantastic, have the appearance of nice wood, but just feel great in the hand.
