I recently bought a Ruger American in .243. Placed a cheap scope on it and took it to the range. I was surprised by the accuracy of the rifle , right out of the box, but I did experience 2x a failure to feed from the magazine. It has a 4 round rotary mag similar to the 10 shot 10/22 rotary mag. the shells don't always spring upward to be stripped off as the next round. tried 4 different types of ammo and had same problem about 20% of the time with all the ammo.
I called Ruger this morning and the woman I spoke to couldn't have been nicer. New mag being sent and I will receive a follow-up call in a few weeks to ensure all is well.
Can't complain about that service.

I had to have my slide stop assembly replaced on my SR40-C awhile back, outstanding service. Shipped it out and got it back in 3 days....its been 100% ever since.

This doesn't make sense to me. Doesn't everyone complain that Ruger offers "no warranty" on their firearms? How can this be?
[/end sarcasm]

Seriously, though, glad they took care of you. I've never had to seek service from them yet, but I've always heard they are a good company to deal with.
