Got introduced to the Winchester model 1885 Winder musket 22 training rifle

Well I tell you what.. I am going to be out in the Tulsa OK area for the great Tulsa gun show. November 9th. If you can think of a place out there to try it out I am game and I will bring it... My only charge will be you bring out one of your cool guns for me to shoot and I will swap you some shots...

Will drive to shoot cool things.. Hell that's a lie, was just trying to sound big... I'll drive to shoot mediocre things to... Pretty much a gun slut...

don't feel bad i'm a gun slut too lol plus yeah that's an awesome offer and your welcome to shoot any of my guns when ever we can meet up somewhere!

Nice range. Whatever distance it is. I had a female shooter at FSU in 1980 that insisted on wearing gym shorts when shooting. I tried to put her on the right most lane when possible. I tried explaining that hot pants did not contribute to the calm state of mind the guys needed to shoot well... I will say "Daisy Dukes" went from a beginning shooter to a decent shot quicker than some of the guy freshmen. Soon as she got to that level she happily went on to other things.

I also had a young lady that wanted to break into Military Pentathalon which was at the time all male. She may have had a decent swim time, and I know nothing of horses except that they are expensive to keep up, but her pistol work needed improving. She had a DES69 her family had bought her and her brass would fall on the other shooters if she were anywhere but the right most lane. Still she "did not like" shooting "next to the wall" and complained and when I tried to giver he some tips nastily pointed out that I was on the RIFLE team and knew nothing about her special pistol. I allowed as how it had been at that point about five years since I had shot the turning target with one just like it in Europe but I do not think she believed me. She got mad when I brought my old Ruger Standard Model 4 (no not a Mark I, that was the target version with adjustable sights! I hate when folks call an RST4 a Mark I) and out shot her. I am just mean natured I guess, and honestly not that good with a pistol which should have said something to her about her chances at breaking into the Olympics if I out shot her.

Most women I have taught to shoot were much easier to teach than guys and seemed to pay attention better. The Girls at the JROTC outfit my old club sponsored an air rifle team for regularly outshot the boys and that made some young men uncomfortable!
