Got Lucky on a Couple of Knives Today

I buy most of my knives at yard sales. Find an occasional decent Custom Fixed Blade or higher quality Production Folder.
Had been about 6 months since I had seen anything worth buying.

Stopped by a yard sale and saw a lot of Cases but after wading through a lot of slip joints I found a couple of interesting knives:

Zero Tolerance ZT 0550 Gen 2 and a Spyderco Delica 4 in NIB Condition. Managed to get them for $50 and $20.

I think her deceased husband was a casual Case Slipjoint Collector. Not old stuff. Whatever limited scales Case offered that year. What he had that wasn't Case I only found two that had any real value to me. I have some old slipjoints (prewar) and a couple of TA Davison Customs but modern production Case isn't my bag.

After hitting “post” it dawned on me such was possible. I’ve a safe full of guns knives coins even toys. Nothing spectacular, just fifty years of buying stuff. . In my case three sons take all. It’s in my will.

Really great price on that Rick Hinderer designed Zero Tolerance, 94045. S35VN is great knife steel, really keeps an edge that you can get scary sharp. Wow, I would have like to have seen all those Case knives!
