I buy most of my knives at yard sales. Find an occasional decent Custom Fixed Blade or higher quality Production Folder.
Had been about 6 months since I had seen anything worth buying.

Stopped by a yard sale and saw a lot of Cases but after wading through a lot of slip joints I found a couple of interesting knives:

Zero Tolerance ZT 0550 Gen 2 and a Spyderco Delica 4 in NIB Condition. Managed to get them for $50 and $20.

Sounds like that yard sale was a dealer having a yard sale.

I think her deceased husband was a casual Case Slipjoint Collector. Not old stuff. Whatever limited scales Case offered that year. What he had that wasn't Case I only found two that had any real value to me. I have some old slipjoints (prewar) and a couple of TA Davison Customs but modern production Case isn't my bag.

After hitting “post” it dawned on me such was possible. I’ve a safe full of guns knives coins even toys. Nothing spectacular, just fifty years of buying stuff. . In my case three sons take all. It’s in my will. :)

Really great price on that Rick Hinderer designed Zero Tolerance, 94045. S35VN is great knife steel, really keeps an edge that you can get scary sharp. Wow, I would have like to have seen all those Case knives!
