Got my Marlin 22 mag zeroed in

I ordered a Cabela's pine ridge rimfire scope last week for my Marlin 925-M 22 mag, its 3-9x, for a $40 scope, I'm impressed. I got the scope mounted last night and took it out today, to zero it in. It took me about 30 rounds, but as you can see from the target, I eventually got there. This is one sweet shooting rifle, I use 40 grain CCI maxi-mag's. I'm getting a 1" group at 75 yards, from a rest, I'll take it.

The three shots on the upper right were intentional, I was aiming away from the cluster to check my zero, looks like about 1" high at 75 yards, ok by me.

Great looking rifle!!! I have spent many hours carrying an old Marlin .22 WMR through the farm fields of Virginia. Please give the local groundhogs a verbal warning before you go hunting.........

I think I got myself a nice 22 mag sniper rifle. The scope was actually $90 full retail, but I hit their sale, got it for $40.

These Marlin 900 series rifles are awesome to say the least. I have played around with several of them and found some really good shooters and some really GREAT shooters. Redneck you can probably close that group some at 75 yards just by free floating the barrel (stopping 1" short of the recoil lug). I was surprised when I grouped one of my 925's and had it really zeroed in, then for experiments sake free floated it and it closed it by 25% or so.
