<does the happy shotgunner dance> ;) :D

I had a problem with my "new" Winchester 1300 Defender ejecting... I took my careful time to examine and probe for the reason - and now I've found it.

The ejector rod's nose part was bumping into the shell rim, creating an extra threshold for it to cross on its way back and out. Once I was sure this wasn't as it should be, I took out the ejector and bent it some. Now the shell rim clears the ejector front without touching and gets a decent push outward once the shell front clears the eject port. Not a hitch since...

I put a hundred rounds of skeet shot thru the gun immediately, then some brenneke slugs... one can shuck this thing pretty fast, it seems, and still hit plates adequately! :p  :D

Now another problem remains: under recoil, the buttstock glides steadily to the right at its seam with the receiver back end. I re-centered it on the back of the receiver once and tightened pretty good but it's doing it again. Now what? Drill a second hole to add a screw? But epoxy in between? Any experiences and thoughts welcome!

Check the bolt that holds the buttstock on - it should have both a flat washer as well as a "lock" washer. Sometimes the lock washer gets skipped in assembly and under recoil the bolt works loose.
