Letter writing websites: congress.org, Ruger, NRA, GOA, etc.

Ruger - Take Action Now!

Ruger has made it easy for you to contact your Local and National Representatives. It only takes about 2 minutes and sends a pro-2nd Amendment email to everyone from the president down to your local state reps.

Taking action is simple, just follow these 3 Steps:

Step 1: Enter your personal contact information below, this information will be added to the letter and is required to reach each of the appropriate representatives in your area. This information is not stored by Ruger, nor is it used for any other purposes than this legislative action.

Step 2: Press "Submit" and we will prepare the letter below, in your name to the President, Vice-President, your Senators, Representative, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State-Level Elected Officials and State Attorney General.

Step 3: Review your letter one last time, add in your first name and press "Submit"! You have just taken strong action in protecting your rights.

Moderator Note: This was the first member to identify a good letter writing website and post it. First Ruger did it, then S&W and now other firearms industry companies are providing the means to contact all of your elected officials easily.

Love it. Its actually easier than the one the NRA has on their website. Wife and I have done it already.

I like that this letter is sent to more than just your two Senators and congressman, it is also sent out to your Governor, Biden, and state reps.

I sent it but didn't get a confirmation. Did the confirmation go to your personal e-mail?

Done! But don't let this be an excuse for not sending your own personal communication to the same legislators or officials.

Also be prepared to answer their replys. Thank those who are on our side, and make it clear to the others that you are a registered voter* and looking forward to November 2014 and 2016.

*If you are not registered get sighed up NOW!

When I saw the title I thought I was going to come into a thread saying that Ruger was rolling over on gun owners again and endorsing the AWB. I'm glad to see that this isn't the case.

How good of an idea is it to give your name and address to some of these people and admit you're a gun owner?

I have some reservations about doing so, considering the present state of affairs and the current Administration.

Tin Foil Hat? Maybe so but..........

Sorry for the repost; I did a search for 'Ruger' before my post and didn't see this.

Done!! My representative blocks me on his website because of faulty zip code technology claiming I don't live in his district and they havent responded to my tech support messages. This was great, thanks!

I would hate to think of missing any hit-list they might have, and it's likely I'm on any previous ones they might have. I’ve been making a point of getting on all I could since the middle 1960’s

Our country's founders knew they'd be at the head of the list when they signed the Declaration of Independence. They hesitated not, and at considerable less risk I won't either.

I just hit it. I posted it on my hometown forum and facebook.

pass it on.

Edit: Well, if they use this list to come for us, then we are at war. So it wont matter if you're on the list or not. What will you do, if they come after people on the list? I don't think that will happen, but it is not a valid arguement.
