Hello, all!

This is a continuation of this thread. I was surfing ebay, and found this little guy. I think this may be the solution to my problem! This is an adapter plate which will allow the Lyman Tru Line Jr to take standard-sized dies. At that point, all I would need is my shell holders, dies, and a powder measure, correct? Any of you seen one of these before? I am chomping at the bit, but I would love to get some opinions before I run out and spend my money on this thing. Thanks in advance!

I've read some of that other thread and looked at the ebay turret. If your main aim is simply getting grandpa's loader working again, then go for it. BUT if your aim is making quality ammo, then get a modern press and be done with it.

That Lyman JR. press is very weak in design. It will flex badly when under pressure of sizing and bullet seating, resulting in crooked ammo.

The best bet going right now is the lee classic turret. Go to; http://www.kempfgunshop.com/products/reloading/leeprecision/kits/KempfKit.html

For 150$ you can get everything for one caliber except components. 200 rounds an hour are obtainable once you learn the basics.

You will also need one of these.

It will reduce the length of shell your press will handle about a 1/4", but you can't get the original J-type shell holders anymore, except some custom made ones that are pretty expensive.

But I also agree with Snuffy.
They were a major step up from the 310 tong-tool that used the same dies.

But Tru-Line Jr. presses are not so great anymore in the grand scheme of things reloading.
