Hi Guys,
I was doing some internet shopping, and was unable to find any Green Mountain small bore (.32-.36-.40) drop in replacement barrels for muzzle loaders. Do they not make them any more even in small batches? I was looking primarily for Thompson Center, but would not mind taking a look at others.

Please note that I'm not actually wanting to purchase one at this time, I am just trying to keep up with what is available.

I do realize that barrels can be made up in any caliber (not interested).

I already have a Thompson Center Hawken GM .36 barrel, but do not own a Hawken! When I purchased
this barrel Hawkens were available used for pretty reasonable prices, not so much any more it seems.

(by the way, my barrel is not for sale at this time)

Thanks!
Jeff Marshall

Check with "Track Of The Wolf" online catalog, and also with Tip Curtis in Cross Plains, TN. Some of my friends have bought drop-in barrels that only fit T/C Hawken rifles from Tip Curtis. He's on Facebook, "Tip Curtis Frontier Shop".

Sending you a "conversation" regarding a T/C stock & lock.

Hope this helps.

I got a .50cal. 15/16" from Track of the Wolf recently, they had 2 left after mine. I asked if Green Mountain was making drop-ins again and they told me sort of but it's sporadic and no way of knowing if or when the next batch will be or what calibers will be available.

I read that Green Mountain had discontinued their drop-in barrels for T/C guns. That was some years ago so things might have changed. I have a 32 caliber barrel drop-in for a Renegade. That's 1" across the flats and I can tell you that 32 barrel is darn heavy. Accurate but heavy.

I have one too, and it is very accurate. I only use it for line shoots at our club cause it is just too darn heavy. Back in the day, I picked up a .36 renegade barrel, a .45 round ball barrel, a 50 and 54 round ball barrels. I think the only Renegade barrel I don't have is a .40. Don't have any use for one as I can't use it for hunting here in CT.
