Green River Knife

I have several of these
I have one that was given to me that's
old enough to not have a handle stamp.
There was a couple of years I used one
as a do-it-all knife for hunting, and there
wasn't any hardships.
There's many that sing the praises of
the mora knives, and this is basically
the same thing except longer and
handier
most mora's are not full tang though right? I never understood why they were loved for bushcraft knives when they probably couldn't be used for long with stuff like batoning.

Mora makes a few models for bushcraft use, but most others do have a stick or rat tail tang. By the same token, while the old Green River patterns were good butcher and kitchen knives, they were never designed for bushwhacking. Cleavers and axes were always a better choice when it came to splitting, hewing and chopping.
