Grip screws

I have a new taurus PT100 and had to get rid of the factory grips. I purchased a set of the pachmahyr signature grips but the screws are not long enough to mount. Nobody offers grip screws and Taurus only handles the stock ones. Any suggestions as to what you all have done in the past?

Look around in the aftermarket or rev up the lath.

Many of the larger hardware stores carry metric screws; they will usually be too long, but can be cut to the right length. Or sink the holes in the grips deeper.

I have some - 5-40 thread, 1 3/8" long if that would help.
