I live in a "tract" on homes on 1 acre, even though there are allot of fruit tress and Oak trees there are no squirrels for some reason. Anyway, I saw one in my backyard and it went under a sheet of plywood laying on the ground. I went over to check it out and all I saw was a large hole, so I reckon I have a ground squirrel, which I have never seen around these parts...figure it must of been hiding in someone's bale of hay and got transported into this area.
At first I got all excited and loaded up my bow, just happens that it's new home is right under my 3-D target, but am reconsidering as I like non-destructive wildlife around my home.
The question, is there such a thing as just one ground squirrel? If there is just one will it be happy with just one hole or are they like gophers (which we have plenty of) and make holes all over the place?
I feel like Cesar looking for a thumbs up or thumbs down regarding this critters life!
