I've been browsing gunbroker lately and trying to get an idea on prices, specifically FN Scar 17 rifles.
What doesn't make sense is one auction rifle with the same number of time left as another , yet one has bids far exceeding the initial asking price of the other with no bids. Both rifles are identical.

On another auction, the same bidder kept raising the auction price, even though no on was bidding against him!

You would think that a bidder would just stop bidding and start on the next rifle when the price is too high.

To be fair, I have used the site to purchase weapons before with no problems.

Not if all the bidders are in-state.

When I search Gunbroker I filter out the other 49 states and just search KY. I'm not a big fan of adding $50 to the cost of a gun ($25 shipping, $25 FFL transfer) so I only look for KY guns. Maybe everybody bidding on that particular gun are in the same state? For people who do the same then if the other gun is listed in a different state they wouldn't even see the listing for it.

Happens all the time, maybe the person only watched a couple rifles and is only bidding on those. Ask me why my 3 year old magic bullet blender sold for the same price as a new one on ebay ?

There could have been a reserve that was not met and the person was increasing their bid to get to it and or they are different bidders but gunbroker makes all user names show up like "d*****Jf" so you dont really know whos bidding

Not suspect at all
