I have been looking to build a gun cabinet, but one that looks like a step back hutch (Sometimes called a china cabinet, dressing table, etc.). I have some material, and possibly some time in the next few days. Does anyone have any pictures of a gun cabinet, that looks like a traditional step back hutch? I remember seeing one in my Great Grandfathers basement and always thought that design was preferable to the lower slung (1 drawer on bottom and 1 large glass door), modern type cabinets.

Do you have ANY PICTURES???? Perhaps you have built one and would like to show it off??? I'll take any non-traditional wood gun cabinet pics.

Yeah, I tried googling it already, several times.....:(

Now get to work!

you know, i LOVE the looks of those cabinete's. i just wish they wern't so darn easy for thieves to run off with your prized possions. a safe, is an ugly big chunk of steel. but it does keep your guns yours, for the most part. i was offered a nice gun cabinete that my late uncle had. i would have loved to have it, but even in his day, they were a risky thing. a different uncle had three of them, all three were torn apart by theives and all of his guns were stolen. every time, he ended up buying less and less guns. i think i would rather keep what i have. it is not like i lock my safe, and only see my guns a coule of times a year. i am in there fondling them all the time. it is very rare that a week goes buy and i havent been in the safe at least twice. but when i go away, i feel a lot easier about someone not walking off with my guns.
