anyone ever used one? i picked up a contour roam today at the BX on sale. 99 bucks for a 1080p cam corder that is water proof.

i want to find a way to attach it to my shotgun and take it duck hunting with me. anyone got experience?

Unless this is something made to put on a shotgun and under some kind of warranty I would think twice about doing a $100 expiriment. There is a lot of shock when a 12ga is fired and many a weapon light can not survive it. I am not knowledgable enough to tell you if a camera can unless it is designed for that.

Hope someone with some knowledge in this area pipes in to give you better advice.

it looks like not many people have had a problem with it. except one guys whos fell off while running 3 gun.....

the camera is similar to a gopro made for sports and such. they well a picatiny mount but my 870 lacks a rail

Here is one listed on Cabela's web site.

A few years ago at a Knoxville, TN, gunshot, there was a vendor selling one. Not sure if he is still around, I have not seen him or the mount since. But, I have not really been looking either

Search the intent with your search engine of choice and I ams sure some samples will pop up. They are out there.

Ha, I put one on a browning 10 gauge turkey gun last spring, securely mounted on the receiver. Blew to pieces on the first shot. Probably best to use with 1 oz loads instead of 2 1/4.

Yeah, a shotgun will let you know quick if your camera/light/optics are good enough or not.

A buddy bought one of those slug barrel/scope combinations (Remington 870 fully rifled slug barrel/Remington marked scope included in big plastic blister pak), got it adjusted for his eye relief, leveled the crosshairs and took it to the range to sight it in. The first round rotated the crosshairs to X shaped hairs :).

Just my .02,
LeonCarr
