I am writing a pursuasive paper about Gun control. My point is to expose how much of the information given by gun control proponents is incorrect or skewed to support their views.
I need some reference on how many people were killed by their own governments in the 20th century after passage of gun control laws.
Any other neat references are also appreciated.
I know there are those on here who are steeped in this knowledge.
Thanks in advance.

Avoid using just internet activist sources. Look for real books from quality presses. Advice from a prof who grades papers.

I will give you three book hints if you have time.

Guns: Who should have them - Kopel

Gun Control and Gun Rights - McClurg and Kopel - NYU Press (quality source) - great book by sane and scholarly pro and anti gun experts.

Can Gun Control Work - James B. Jacob - Oxford Press (hint) - prof at NYU - great guy.

If the paper is just based on websites or nonscholarly sources - you flunk.

Thanks GEM. I do not use souces that are skewed for either side for my arguments. The arguments are my own, but I do need examples of incorrect information being sold as factual. I have already found a ton of those. The media is your friend if you want mistakes in content.

One good source is to go to the brady center website and find an example of them saying how many "children" a killed a year "by" guns. Then cross-reference that with the CDC's stats on murders by age and see how old "children" are in the Brady Universe.

That's odd. I'm just about to type out an introduction for a persuasive paper detailing why CCW holders should be allowed to carry while on campus.
