I have always thought threads urging me to "vote in this poll" were kind of pointless, but after considering the subject, I have changed my mind.

I now believe that voting in these things is one small thing I can do to help promote a pro-gun agenda. Let one of these polls result in a higher ratio of anti-2A supporters and we'll probably see a story by the polling media agency lauding how the majority is anti-gun.

Yet, if the result favors the 2nd Amendment, the poll will most likely be swept under the rug.

So since I can't get my lazy butt off the couch this instant, the least I can do is fight the anti's online.

Do you think the anti's are using the same tactic?

If they are trying to use the same tactic they are failing miserabley since we have so far over powered them in every single poll.

None of these polls really carry any weight at all, but if the anti side wins, it'll be trumpeted no end by the anti gun media. The least we can do is rain on their parade, and I get some pleasure in doing that.

I used to vote in every 2A related poll I could find. Not now.

When these polls don't go the way the pollster wants, they simply go away. The MSM (who conduct most polls) isn't going to let any pro-gun results see daylight.

I don't think they make a whole lot of difference. (john1911 is right, they sometimes disappear when they don't go as expected), But given how little effort it takes to copy a link and click a button, why not? It's not gonna hurt us, and every now and then they DO see the light of day.
