Do you really think their request was that unreasonable?

I think you could have said something like, "Hey guys, I'm about to slow-fire 30 shots, so you probably want to keep your ears on.

i would say that asking people at a GUN RANGE permission to SHOOT YOUR GUN is the definition of unreasonable. if they want to talk, take it to the parking lot or go hit up a cafe. ranges are for shooting. they sound like a bunch of self entitled d-bags.

if they want to have their cake and eat it to, you should have suggested they go out and buy electronic ear muffs. some people make me sick.

perhaps they need to head to perkins before the range, get the talking out of the way...

There are many times when I am shooting when there may be a few guys who are doing more shooting the breeze than shooting.

As they are on the range and I am the one actually doing the firing, I just keep them informed of my actions.

I consider it a courtesy on my part, but really, a little sugar goes a long way.
