I am planning a trip to vegas, and as I live in NYS, I was hoping to fire some full auto firearms and some SBRs while there. I have heard of a place called The Gun Store that does this, but have heard mixed opinions of them. Has anyone done this? I expect to get raped price-wise, but heck, I'm on vacation, might as well. Any info would be great.

I did this a while back. I believe that 50 rounds cost 50 bucks.

I rented a MP5 with Navy trigger

From what I remember they had an Uzi, Mac and possbily a tommygun.

It was fun.

When you take the road out of town toward the Hoover Dam there is a nice little indoor range and rental place. The class 3 stuff is legal there. I have had enough experience with the darn things that I wouldn't pay to shoot one. The cost is in the factory ammo you have to buy from the range.
Good Luck and don't forget to see Harrah's gun collection.

try american shooters supply. can rent several different types of FA stuff. mostly decent bunch of guys. used to shoot IPSC with them when i lived out there.

There's a place on Tropicana Avenue, south of the strip (and a bit hard to spot) that rents Thompsons, Uzis, Smeissers, Grease Guns, MP5s and maybe some other stuff. When I went to LV regularly on business, I stopped in there regularly. First time, a store employee accompanied me & stood alertly nearby, "just in case". After a few visits, they'd give me the weapon, ammo & mags and say "Have fun!"

To build their confidence:
1. Fire a few initial rounds semi-auto, if possible.
2. Short bursts are a sign of restraint & discipline.

Don't count the cost; it's worth it!

The place off tropicana is about 6 minutes off the strip from the MGM. It is called the gun store. Very nice folks there.

The prices are great, for 30 bucks you get the sub gun of your choice and a box of ammo. then you can buy however many boxes of ammo you want to fire.

I spent 120 bucks and fired 200 rounds from a WW2 Thompson
200 rounds from an MP5 and 50 rounds from an UZI before it broke.

The boxes of ammo run from 9 to 11 bucks a box so they are not screwing you on that. The gun store part and range are pretty nice.

the cab ride to the gun store from the strip is about 10 bucks
each way.
