I am buying a new house and getting a new gune safe when I move. I will not be able to put the safe in the basement as I had hoped. I have a large garage and was thinking about putting it in there. I will have a security system so that is not a huge issue. My main question is should I worry about moisture in the safe and causing rust? The garage is heated in the winter, but hot and humid in the summer. I am located in PA. I am wondering what others have experienced.

Lots of good info in those threads. I've never used one, but it looks like a Goldenrod is the way to go.

I know some folks use desiccant as a backup should the goldenrod get unplugged. If you decide you need some, I have a bunch. I've been selling it on a couple different forums lately, and everyone has been happy with it.

I did this for one full season when I was renting. I created a false front for it so that neighbors couldn't see what it was.

Just some food for thought.
