Gun show Kahr

I am not. I like the fact that they have continued to stay in the area where they began, compact carry pistols, although they do offer what they call target models.
Do one thing and do it well. Don't remember where I first heard this, but believe it applies here.
yeh, that
And Kahr has not done much development since they acquired/partnered with Thompson.
jmo,

I have a PM40 and a PM45. Both 10+ years old and I still carry the PM45 most days, I’m not sure I know where the PM40 even is….

I mean, why carry a 40 when you can carry a 45.

I love my little KAHR.

I like the Kahr pistols, but I think the sweet spot is the 9mm Kahrs. I own 3 CW9's, have given 2 away as presents, a CM9, and a PM9. My daily carry is a CW9. I have owned a P45 and a CW45 and didn't like either. The P45 had problems, and Kahr was not very responsive to getting it fixed, so I traded it for another CW9. I thought I would try another .45, and bought a used CW45, but it was not the sum of it's parts, either, and recently sold it.

I actually see quite a few Kahrs on the used shelves... mostly the sub-compact CM/PM models in 9mm and .40S&W, and the .380's. I was temped to buy a .380, but I understand they are very hit or miss with functioning... and I just decided to stick with the CM9 or PM9 if that's what I need. What I don't see on the used shelves are the steel framed K- or T-models, etc. From what I've heard, people that buy them, hang on to them. I'd really like to get me hands on a K9... but that price tag will prolly keep me away.

I’m very happy with my P9. If I sold all my hand guns the Kahr would be one of the last to go.

MK9 has been my carry for many years. All stainless. I'm old school and can't bring myself to buy plastic. Heavy but really soaks up recoil. Very accurate! Other than a Swiss K31, the MK9 is probably the best made firearm in terms of fit and finish I've owned.

My avatar....CM45. I ended my search for a EDC when I found this little rascal. I purchased it new and I'm not sure of the round count so far but I remember the failure count.....zero. It's easy to carry and recoil isn't bad at all. The muzzle blast is pretty loud but with a 3.25" barrel that is to be expected. It is more accurate than I expected and the trigger pull while being long is very smooth. I have no plans of parting ways with it.

I've never owned one but handled them a lot at the lgs. I was impressed with the finish and the apparent build quality but, even though I have no problem with the da trigger pulls on, say a typical S & W K-frame revolver, the pulls on the triggers of the Kahrs I squeezed took forever and a day to fire. Liked the pistol but hated the trigger; just not for me.

I recently picked up a new CW45 and have run about 400 rounds of ammo through it without a single malfunction -- FMJ range ammo, hollow points from different manufacturers, brass and steel. I'm also quite pleased with how accurate it is. It's basically the same size and weight of my Ruger LCR 5 shot .38 (which I don't shoot so well frankly...) but it brings 7 rounds of .45 ACP to the fight. Maybe there are better choices for a 9mm carry gun, but I think the Kahr .45 really is best (and maybe only) in class.
I have carried SIG P245, Kimber Pro and Ultra carry in the past. Your thinking mirrors mine.

In lieu of a safety lever, the long trigger pull is the safety. Actually, once you get used to it, and understand how best to manage it, it works really, really well... but I agree, it's not for everyone. It's one of the reasons I don't swap carry pistol platforms... I have decided to carry the Kahr 99.9% of the time and train with that pistol.

That was my primary reason for getting a Kahr CM9. It has a DA trigger that's very similar to the trigger pulls on my two other CCW guns: a S&W Model 649 and a Model 638.

I understand the concept but I found the trigger pull on the Kahr pistols I tried significantly longer than the da pulls on my SIG, CZ, Beretta and Smith & Wesson autos, as well as the da pulls on most of my revolvers. With practice, I doubtless could adapt to the Kahr trigger but, for me, given the pistols I already have, there's no need to.

With all those super wonderful guns, why did you even buy a Kahr?

Read post # 37...
Okay, so you didn’t buy one, you just tried it out in the shop, how many pulls? I would suggest, you forget about the Kahr, put it back on the counter and stay happy with your Sig, beretta, etc. I have a beretta 92 which I am very pleased with,, It is a 9mm, I prefer the hole size of the Kahr CW45, which works just fine for me.

Why do you care? I don't need to squeeze a trigger more than a couple of times to know whether I like it or not. I suggest that you forget about me and tend to your own choices.

Lots of Internet hype by die-hard partisans, I suppose. I'm pretty sure the infectious enthusiasm of The Firearm Guy on Youtube was a big reason why I bought a P45. The gun was a dumpster fire. It is the only pistol that I ever sold.

My K9 is a joy all round. Bought a CW9 that was reminiscent but lighter for my dad and he put away his Govt Model for a decade. When arthritis got the better of him he gifted back the CW9 which I foolishly sold but that K9 is both carried and serves nightstand duty. Still zero failures and very accurate.
