Hello THR.

After lurking for years, I am glad and proud to join your community. I'd like to humbly introduce myself and my project. With the recent censorship from popular video hosting platforms, I have created a free-speech firearms-focused platform where anyone of age can post and view legal firearms content.

I am a one-man band and I am not selling anything, nor is the site gathering any revenue currently. My purpose in creating this platform is foremost to give the community an outlet for firearms-related videos of all kinds. I invite all to post their reviews, tutorials, discussions, and more.

This outlet is a very basic and simple alternative to big tech that I believe is needed in order to preserve our rights and educate others. There are other genre-agnostic free-speech platforms and my mission isn't to supplant them, but rather to carve out a niche for the 2A-community specifically. I want everything to be firearm and Second Amendment focused. People don't want to see a commercial for some fast-food chain or shoemaker when watching a Nighthawk 1911 review. My site is only for gun-related videos.

Currently, I have embedded some popular YT videos (while they still exist) in order to populate the site and test functionality. As organic content grows, they will be phased out. This is not intended to overtake YT or get popular creators to switch... likely they will stay on YT and conform to their rules since it pays their bills. That's fine.

For those of us who just want the freedom to post 'prohibited' content (ie. how to build an AR-15 or show off your new select fire gun that you worked for your whole life to afford), feel free to upload there. Again, this is a passion project for me and the whole purpose of doing this is so that the Second Amendment can continue to have light shone upon it.

Thank you for reading this.

Thanks for the invite. I'll check it out. Hopefully it isn't just a collection of info readily available already. Being involved with a multitude of Firearm/2nd Amendment related forums and groups already, I don't know how much attention your platform will receive, kinda depends on the content and the philosophy. Hopefully soapbox standing political bias will not reign like so many out there.

I am a one-man band and I am not selling anything, nor is the site gathering any revenue currently.

Many of the platforms I am already on said the same thing at the beginning, and now are full of ads and the continuous asking for donations. Some of them end up being a huge source of revenue for the developer, that goes beyond just keeping the site afloat. Again, we'll see. I wish you the best of luck with your endeavor, you have a lot of competition. Hopefully your platform will rise above some of the others.

Thanks and I hope so too. The more platforms, the merrier IMO. As far as I am concerned, every outlet that is an alternative to the anti-gun tech companies is a blessing.

I have an extension on my browsers that blocks cookies. On your site, every time I refresh or go to the home page, I get the following message. Kind of annoying. But I like the site otherwise. Thanks for starting it.

Thanks! The disclaimer is there because I'm sure there will be lots of growing pains to sort out. It's still far from professional-level smoothness.

Thanks for announcing that here. Looks very interesting and thanks for that link. It popped right up on my computer with no funny business. Good luck with the new endeavor; and hopefully you won't be subjected to any censorship attempts from big tech.

Good luck getting an app passed and allowed long term the tyrannical overlords at Google and Apple.

Best to focus on internet based use first, only then move to an app based use (which is much nicer, but not necessary).

That's the plan --stick to the web. It took me a while to find a server/host who doesn't have anti-gun terms.

That's what GB was relegated to (the web). It still works and is a minor inconvenience.

A good opportunity for funding is making calls, emails, letters to gun shops around the US for "ad free" subscriptions. We have some gun shops locally that pay for YouTube subscriptions and then have a playlist of videos running in their storefront for customers to watch while they browse or wait for checkout. Once there is enough content on other video services that are pro-2a these types of stores need to dump YouTube and move over to a paid subscription supporting true freedom of 2a video services.
