I have a h&r 732 revolver. It will fire every couple of tries, inspection of primer shows a very light hit on the primer. Does anyone make an extended firing pin? Gun functions flawless(aside from not firing) and is in immaculate condition. Any help is much appreciated

Numrich lists new firing pins and mainsprings listed as available. Do you think your firing pin is worn down or perhaps the mainspring is weak?

Does the fired brass have the same light hammer strike imprint on the primer as the examples that didn't fire?

Does it feel like you are compressing a decent spring when cocking? Take your grips off and oil the mainspring, make sure nothing there is binding.

I don't know of any longer pins, but it isn't difficult to make a longer firing pin. Is yours fixed to the hammer or is it in the frame?

Welcome to the forum! Hope we can help!

I would remove the grips and inspect the mainspring guide rod. some have a plastic part that fail.
Make sure the gun is unloaded, there is a hole at the base of the mainspring guide shaft with the gun cocked insert a needle or paper clip in the hole now decock the hammer to remove the tension this will allow mainspring assembly removal.
PS,
anytime you turn a screw make sure the driver fits the screw precisely.
PSS,
With some of these older firearms the lube may turn to goo requiring a full take down and cleaning and relube, or a flush may do the trick.
