I just started reloading 60gr Hornady SPs. I had been reloading 55gr VMax. I noticed that the recommended powder amounts drop about a full grain going from 55 to 60gr. Is it just the H335 powder? I have some CFE223 that I recently found a real good grouping load for the VMax, haven't looked into loads for the 60gr bullets for it so I don't know if the difference would be as much.

More bullet weight, longer bullet bearing surface length, thicker jacket, harder lead core, may require a lower powder charge as the bullet may build more pressure.

I understand that a heavier bullet requires a lower powder charge, it's the amount of difference that surprised me.
