Thanks. The Trooper was carried by my wife's father when he was with state police for 25 yrs. She grew up polishing his brass as she watched him clean that gun.

My favourite centerfire guns for target shooting. Model 14 has SA trigger but the one on the 66 is equally good.

Love those grips, especially the ones on your Model 66! The ones on your Model 14 look like they were made by Nill-Griffe but I'm not sure about the other grips.

Both grips are by Nill. Actually I bought the 14 with the grips which are now installed on the 66. And I bought it mainly for these grips as I already had the 66 at that time. I also have a third model of Nill grips for S&W, which I showed with Model 617 a few posts above. All fit my hand perfectly.

My latest addition, Stevens 22 tip up. Appears to have been a model 40 pocket rifle that was shortened to 5 1/4" some time in the past 100 years. Mechanically sound. Thinking it will be a good one to teach the kids with using CBs.
