Handgun Pictures

Picked up a nickeled H&R 733 (32S&W)just to get the Pachmayr grips to put on my H&R 922 (22lr). The grips are going for as much as the gun on auction lately.

IMG_2802.JPG IMG_2808.JPG IMG_2812.JPG IMG_2798.JPG Picked up this H&R Model 676 22 cal. Convertible revolver a couple years ago with both cylinders (22LR & 22 Mag.), original box, instruction manual and guide. It has obviously led a sheltered life and will continue to do so as long as I own it. Although in the interest of full disclosure I will admit that my Ruger Single Six Convertible (22LR & 22 Mag.) is a bit more accurate; at least in my hands. But this would make a neat addition to the collection of someone into the old Harrington & Richardson stuff. IMG_1736.JPG

That's a fine looking H&R Model 676 with some nice looking color case hardening on the frame. Nearly bought one very much like it, in the box, as my wife's first gun. Put it on layaway at the LGS but then a couple of weeks later my friend there showed me a mint S&W Model 34, also in the box, and instead I went with that one for her.

When the son of a good friend of mine put a few of his guns up for sale a while back (he moved perm to New Zealand) I jumped on the opportunity to pick a couple up. They were by no means 'great deals'. I was more focused on acquiring them because of their exceptionally good shape than I was about the cost. I paid the asking price on both of them because they were worth it to me and I wasn't looking to get ahead at a friends son's expense.

Since H&R was just represented above with a fine specimen I thought I'd show this H&R Sportsman I purchased off the son. Although the cylinder has been turned I don't believe it has ever been shot.

The Monson manufactured Dan Wesson was purchased as a pistol pack. Only the 4 inch (I think) barrel was ever shot through and I believe it was a total of 30 rounds . I seem to remember getting the one box of ammo he purchased at the time he bought the gun and it still had 20 rounds in it. I've never shot the gun and have owned it for several years now. I have other DW's that I put wear on.

Have been a big fan of single actions ever since I purchased my first one back in 1997 or so. And especially like them with birds head grips. Plan to convert 2 of the 3 Single 7's I have in .327FM over the winter to the BH grips.

In this pic are a couple of New Model Vaqueros in .45 Colt. 2 Single 6's in .32 H&R Mag and a Single 7 in .327FM.
