I have had two slides hard chromed - very durable. I love the way they look.

I want to get my USP compact slide hard chromed, but also hear all these good things about CCR. Brad himself has prev stated how durable the cerakote finish is.

Which is more durable? So far, the hard chrome seems impervious to holster wear. Will the cerakote hold up as well?

I don't have hard chrome on anything, but the cerakote on my P12 and BHP have no sign of problems after 4 years of carry and practice.

Well i have no hard chrome guns, but I do have some Hard Chromed tools that are still clean and shiny after 40 years. I have yet to find any synthetic that is as hard or durable as hard chrome.

Starrett tools have been hrad chroming since the 30's and it seems to work for them.
