I'm looking for a bullet lube will produce less smoke than my current dip lube. The Lyman orange magic is said to be formulated for low smoke output. If you've tried it, can you tell any difference from other bullet lubes?

Thanks
jm

Orange Magic can be smoky with a high nitro content powder. e.g. TiteGroup.

Otherwise it smokes about the same as any 50/50 ALOX, bees wax mix.

If you want great lube, with very little to no smoke, use Lar's Red Carnauba or BAC.

Cheap too.

I blow 330gr .501's downrange at 1900 fps with zero smoke or leading and accuracy is excellent.

i usually heat mine to 100f any warmer & itll get a little a little to loose.
it is a sticky lube thatll stay on the boolit though & keep the bore shiny!!!
glen told me the melting point is around 155f.
& price is rite too!!!

Red Roster, I think a different brand name for the same stuff as
Carnuba red is harder than Orange Magic. I use them both but prefer Red Roster. Yes you need a heater to use it. I have the one from Lyman that the bullet sizer sets on. It's worked great for me.

i promise you red rooster IS NOTcarnauba red !!!
red rooster is hard stuff & have to run on hi heat.
carnauba red is much softer & stickier& works !!
google white label lubes & contact glen .
