Well I got a nice receipt going for 9mm. Unique and some JHP 124's. Something I've made thousands of. I tell the wife I'm going to load a while because I just got my reloading room set up in our new home. Really awesome to me. [ not nearly as awesome as some of the pictured ones you can find on THR ] I made the benches out of the wood that was harvested from the land where the house was built. Wood work is also a hobby. Nice sturdy 1.5" white oak. Wish I had gone with 2". anyway, the good Wife comes down and wants to watch. Never before although she loves to shoot and she shoots well. This is an XL650 so ya know there's a few things to watch. I take her through the process and explain how the dies, powder and such were set and why. She wants to try. I start her off then set up as many mistakes and problems that may happen and the fix for them. I watch her a bit and then I find my self installing shower doors. WOW! That's so much more fun than reloading! A bit later she finds me as asked me if we had any more bullets. I weighed and took apart a bunch of them and she was within 0.01 on everything. Now we have a thousand rounds of 9mm and half a shower door hung. Guess what I get to finish today? Really proud of her though.

Ha! Yeah, something similar is happening at our house right now. As far as guns, hunting and shooting goes though, my wife is as into them as I am, and we handload together. However, right now my wife is up in Missoula, visiting our daughter and grandson for a week. Before she left, she checked to make sure Montana would honor her Idaho CCW license. They will.

Meanwhile, the folks that are going to install a new front door on our house (actually it’s the whole front entryway – door, sidelights, an above the door window, the whole works) called yesterday, and said they would deliver everything tomorrow, and the installation crew would be here a day or two later.

I haven’t told my wife yet, so she’s in for a surprise when she gets home. We ordered that new front entryway a few months back, and the truth is, they promised us it would be here by late May or early June. So much for promises once they had our down payment in hand.

Mrs. Boss makes appearances in the shop from time to time. Each time she takes an interest in what I'm doing and asks about the current operation. After explaining, she wants to pull the handle a few times but the interest seems to stop there. While she doesn't show a burning desire to take over, I can't help but notice the grin when she takes a completed round out of the press.

Dear .308, Three years building the house. The last time we saw the contractor was about 6 months ago. For some reason we decided not to make his finial payment. Sometimes funny thoughts go through my mind while reloading. IMG_1901.JPG

Here's the door I put up to my reloading room. It had to "breath" cuz the mechanical room is attached. Good luck with your door!

My Girlfriend is showing interest in shooting and we are going this weekend. Her dad had an extensive gun collection that was given to her uncle. Something happened and dad decided to get rid of everything. She is in the process of clearing out her parents old house as they moved into a retirement condo and she is finding all sorts of different calibers of ammo. So far she has shown interest in my fishing (I don't mind) My shooting (I don't mind) Hasn't shown interest in hunting (I wont let her. Loves animals too much) We are both way too busy for her to reload, so I do what I can when I have the time. My brother is going to start this week and once he gets comfortable I will put him on 9MM duty. Goal is to have a couple thousand rounds made up by end of July.

My wife likes to shoot, but not reload. I only have 2 primer tubes for each size and I can get her to load tubes while I load.

My wife loves to shoot my reloads but doesn't go into my reloading room. She asks me what component's I need and she procures them for me. I'm not Johnny homemaker and most of or house work gets done by a professional that knows what they are doing.

My wife will shoot with me sometimes, and enjoys it when we go. She doesn't enjoy it as much as I do, and doesn't shoot as often as I do.

She has no interest in reloading. She's watched me a few times, particularly when the new Inline Fabrication Reverse Rotation kit (that she gave me) was installed on the LCT (that she gave me).
After a few minutes she wandered off. No problem.

Good for you!

My Wife shoots and hunts with me but has no interest in reloading. She only comes into my room to talk to me about something like it being time to eat.

My wife wanted to learn, so if something happens to me....
She doesn't like factory ammo in her rifle.

My girlfriend is good for 2 maybe 3 trips to the range a year. Just so she feels comfortable with the couple of guns she may need to use if a situation comes up. Funny thing is she can shoot like hell, but doesn't care. put a whole mag in a silhouette target and shes good to go or maybe a couple cylinders if shes shooting a revolver. She likes to look at the new guns I'm forever bringing in the house and will make a remark if I sell something she thinks is pretty but that's about the most I get out of mine with shooting. She couldn't tell you within 10 how many handguns I have nor could she care less.

Really proud of her though.

You are so very fortunate!!! Care to press your luck and get her a reloading setup? The family that reloads together, stays together .

I'm not sure I can tell you, within 10, how many handguns I have. At least, not without opening the safe and counting..

And I don't have a problem with that.;)

Her: How many guns do you have?
Me: I dunno, how many earrings do you have?

Don't have a wife but my 13yr old granddaughter, shoots competitively, hunts and helps reload. All I can do to keep her from claiming more of my guns.

Mrs farmer doesnt help me reload, however she did pick up about 15lbs of #7.5 shot from the spare room floor when she bumped my top heavy mec loader with 200rds worth of shot in the bottle.
Coincidentally, I moved my reloading equipment into the shed right after that incident.

Mine could care less about my guns or reloading. She told me about ten yesrs ago (You buy one more gun and we are threw)

I went out and bought thirty guns that year afterwards.

I was looking at Kimber 1911 one day a couple of years later.. she seen the price tag. As we were walking away from the gun counter she said (You sre not spending $1,100 on another effin gun.)
So the next day I went back there and spent $1,204 on a nice Winchester 12 gauge Super X3 semi in the waterfowl package.

Now I'm going getting everything I need for reloading and then some.

Push that envelope!! I'm proud of you!!!

Lol
Nope my wife enjoys shooting but just the other night she seen me reloading some new loads to test on my LCT and said “you actually enjoy doing all this?”

My wife has no interest in reloading or shooting. She did shoot skeet with me for about three years until we came close to a bankruptcy from buying reloading supplies. She has no problem with my shooting/reloading hobbies so I say she's a keeper.

Well I thought this was a whim on my Dear Wife's part. Now she knows how brass is sorted and cleaned. Then she comes and looks at the shower doors I'm installing and tells me we are out of bullets. After lunch I find her on line shopping. I think I'll sneak down and take back my reloading room. As I walk past her I see she is Midways site and tells me of the sale their having and that she found that we could get primers at .02 if we buy something like 10,000. I've created a monster! Well good for me! I really miss the days of reloading. Sigh.... What she doesn't yet know is that I am also into 1k yrd PRC. Redding comp dies, Berger 140gr Hybrids and such. I guess it's just a matter of time when all I do is place an order with her. Not sure of how all this happened?
