Have Colt firearms significantly increased in value?

I'm going through some moderate financial difficulties and as a consequence am beginning to entertain the necessity (I hope it won't come to that, however) of parting with a portion of my collection, among them some real beauties like my Colt Python, Model 1991A1 Stainless, and my Colt Police Positive MkV (which Colt only manufactured for one year).


My question for the board, and specifically shop owners, is whether it would be worth it. Have they sufficient increased in value to be worth selling, or would it be better to hold onto them awhile longer?

Any advice or opinions welcome.

Colt revolvers have increased in value since having become extinct. Try not to sell them: you may never be able to replace them, and certainly not for what you received for them.
