Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

A few holsters and a case of practice ammo ...oh wait, I lost all my guns in that horrible boating accident !!! :what:

I managed to be quick enough to order 2 pistol brace adapters from Copper Custom for my Ruger Charger project last Thursday. I had signed up for a email notification some time ago and when the back in stock email came I jumped on their site grabbed them. I have a ups tracking number that says they’ll be here Saturday. So maybe I can shoot it this weekend.

Bullets and primers are on order from Brownells as well as a few parts for the LnL AP press.

Just ordered a set of dies for a rifle I haven't built yet ... 7mm-08 Ackley. I have everything I need to build the rifle except the barrel. I'll order that from McGowen next time they have a sale.

Well yes...just this past Wednesday.
I bought a custom holster for my 500 S&W Bone Collector revolver. I've had a heck of a time trying to find someone who could make a holster for this behemoth but I ran into the owner of Shamrock Holsters at the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, PA. He has an interesting holster system in that it's modular. I got the Bandito shoulder belt, cartridge carrier and the holster that covers the scope. The holster needs to be custom made and will take some weeks to get done.

I ordered a Ruger LCP and Rough Rider for some friends and thought that I should get me something to defray shipping. Yeah, that's why, to defray shipping. (I better remember that phrase for the wife). Anyhow, I grabbed a Savage Model 11 Hog Hunter in 338 Federal to test. Looks like a neat round. Last week I got a Model 11 xp package in the same caliber. I'll test them and keep the one that I like the best. Nosler book says 200gr at 2500 fps. Fusion ammo reads 2700fps. The chrono will tell the truth.

Hi...
Went on a gun shop tour yesterday with my son.
Nothing real exciting at any of the gun shops we visited.
Did find a bin of used revolver speedloaders in one shop for $2 each. They were all sized for a S&W model 10. The owner said the armorer from a local prison brought them in...they switched from revolvers to semi auto handguns for the guards.
I bought six of them...didn't really need them but at $2 each it was too good a deal to pass up. My Model 10 only goes to the range but some speedloaders will come in handy when I am practicing.

I ordered a flight case. I have been doing a lot of TDY, and I was driving to and from the site, so I kept the guns in soft cases. But I got "promoted", and now I get a rental car for work, so I get to fly to the site, wh oui co means my two carry guns, my M-4, and my AR-10 (and my guitar and my bow) need to be in flight cases.

Several arched mainspring housings for my M1911's that currently have flat, polymer mainspring housings.

Since I don't plan to shoot factory ammo in the 7mm-08 Ackley I intend to build in the next few months, I used a sale opportunity to buy some Lapua brass and some Lee dies to load 7mm-08 for fire forming. Already have .284 projectiles, primers, and suitable powders.

I wedged a .270 case in an old sizing die but good on Sunday, so I bought a new .270 die set while I figure out if I want to pay to get this one unstuck.

I also bought a bunch of Akro bins from Zoro.com to help me tidy up my reloading area. Some I picked up are the same size as the SDB and RL 550-650 bins that Dillon sells for their reloading presses, others were larger and hold bullets that come in plastic bags (Eggleston, large lots from Extreme, etc.). They come in a wider variety of sizes and a myriad of colors for less than the cost of the Dillon branded ones when one adds in Zoro's free shipping over 50 bucks.

Stay safe!

I ordered some roll pin punches Monday to help a buddy put his AR lower together tomorrow and just a few minutes ago I ordered 13 boxes of American Eagle 20g 17 WSM ammo for $7.99 per 50. The ammo came to $103 and change so I could get free shipping since it was over $100. No tax, free shipping and the ammo was 1/2 price. Can’t beat that!

Grainger had the white bins the same size as the Dillon bins for $0.83 each last month.

A stuck case remover won't remove the case?
