Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

My wife's X5 birthday is coming up and I got her a Ruger SR22 as the ammo is a bunch cheaper than the stuff her FN 57 eats. I'm a huge fan of making properly placed holes in paper targets with the cheapest ammo possible. Since it's damn near a buck a trigger pull with my .44 I really like the nickel cost of a round of .22 LR.

So I got to assemble my recent purchases. Base was this second-hand Model 7 in 7mm-08. You can't see it, but it has the J-lock (bipod is just there for the photo).

Added a Gre-Tan firing pin assembly (to get rid of the J-lock), HS Precision sporter stock, DNZ mount, and Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x36.

Just need to adjust the trigger and get it to the range for sight in.

You got a great pistol ulflyer! I had a 226 and a 220 back around that time and the 220 was one of the most accurate guns I’ve ever had! My only complaint were those red, fuzzy boxes they came in. After a few years they started shedding something awful!

My guy got me again. Smith 5906 with adjustable rear sight, half cock trigger and 4 mags for 375.00. I couldn't say no. This will be my last gen 3 purchase.
I have a bunch of them and I feel I have the series pretty well covered.

Next rabbit hole will be to add to the high power collection.

I went to the Berea gun show yesterday and TRIED to buy a couple of boxes of 250-255gr. .45 Colt with no success. The guy with the best prices/selection on ammunition wasn't there.

On the plus side, there were quite a few interesting firearms there, including a TISAS Hi Power clone, the first I've seen.

A large case of Wolf ammo, plus a third AK retainer plate (for securing hammer and trigger pins).

Two "shepherd's hooks" on four of my imported AKs are very firm, but on the TGI AMD-65 and SAR-1, they were installed backwards by the importers.
Note that on the diagrams easily found on Google, the 'Bulgarian' type of spring --with a small loop on one end-- should be in a specific configuration.

I bought a set of Lee loading dies and some bullets in .257 caliber. At the gun show in the middle of the month some guy was carrying a .257 Roberts rifle around. It called my name. Whispered to me I should take it home.

I swear, had it not been a Ruger No 1 International with a Leupold scope I would not have bought it. For as much as I did.

Report pending on my blog site.

ulflyer: Nice choice. With the typical DA/SA, if the DA is not much more than 11#, I would choose your gun over Any type of 1911 design.

Your 220 might be the father of my Sig P6 ('01) and both P228s ('94).

Ordered 3 Kris’s brand magazine extensions for my 10mm carbine. They were buy 2 get 1 free.

$20 for shipping though.....

I ordered some magazines, and a loading tool, for my 22lr AR. I finished building a PSA upper on a generic lower, using one of my LaRue MBT triggers, last month. I just hadn't gotten around to ordering any magazines for it until now.
