Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

2k Federal Lg Pistol Primers today. Has to hold me over 'til the 10k I ordered comes in.

An NAA mini in .22 LR.
Have a Freedom Arms in a belt buckle, but wanted this for in a kydex neck cord holster for deep concealment.

Today when I checked the mail there was a package. It contained two Sig P320, 21 round magazines. I got them free from Sig on promotion deal for buying a P320 M17.

Not long after the mailman passed the BBT of Happiness pulled up in my driveway to drop off a box from Shooters Pro Shop. Food for my 458 SOCOM.

Just received an order from Midway, taking advantage of free shipping. Miscellaneous stuff like a couple of MTM ammo boxes, jags and brushes in 7mm, spare decapping rod for my Lee universal decapping die, etc.

Hi...
Received a Hornady powder measure from MidSouth Shooter's Supply for my Hornady LnL that is set up for large primer. The current powder measure is set up for our preferred .45ACP load.
This measure will be dedicated to 10mm for my son.

Ya know you can just switch the inserts?

Big spender here. Took kid to PT in the big city....well suburb of it. Snotty area.....indoor range. Zero charm or warmth......but they had a lot of ammo. Nothing special though....just quantities of normal stuff. Same ol same ol. But......i spied three 50 round boxes of WW PowerPoint 42 gr max .22 lr. Australian mfg......got 2 bricks at home . Can test now without getting into my reserve

Hi...
I just wanted a dedicated measure for the .45ACP load and didn't want to mess with making adjustments back and forth.
With two measures, we can just turn the LnL insert and pull the whole measure out and replace it with the other. Same with the other dies...
Just the way we decided we wanted to do it.
Same reason I bought a second LnL and set it up as a dedicated small primer press. My son says when he decides to load for 9mm, he will buy another measure to dedicate to that caliber, so that we don't need to adjust the one set up for .357Mag.
The cost for separate Hornady LnL powder measures isn't that great at MidSouth...I think it was somewhere around $140 with tax and shipping.

I have a Dillon 550 that is waiting for a bench to be mounted to that will be used for large primer revolver loading of our preferred general purpose loads. If I think it's easier to switch out powder measures on it, that's the way we will do it on the Dillon as well.

I have no experience with Dillon presses, so it's entirely possible that we may find it easier to adjust the powder measure for each caliber. We shall see...
It will be my son's decision, he does all of the large batch reloading on the progressive presses.
I do the small batch(less than 500 rounds) and load development rounds on one of my RockChuckers.
Being retired, I have the time to do it that way and I enjoy it. My son works a lot, so he needs to be able to crank out a lot of ammunition in a short period of time so he runs the progressives and he really likes reloading his own ammunition especially for the semi automatic handguns.
Anyway... that's how we divided up the reloading tasks, so that we both are doing part of it. They are on separate benches, so we don't get in each other's way when we are both in the reloading room.

Rifle kit from PSA, one of their "daily specials". Nitride carbine length with lightweight M-lok handguard for $299.95 shipped, not a bad deal IMO. I may pick up another kit or two if the prices stay low for a little while longer.

My finances took a huge hit today.:(

I've been looking for an AR-10 style rifle that's a little nicer than the one I have, so I took a fifteen mile drive up to a store I've never been to before. But the local stores are either barren, or have rifles I'm no interested in.

I found a new Springfield Saint "Victor," in 7.62 X 51. Has a free floating m-lok forend, comes with flip up metal buis. Nice picatinny rail with T Marks.

But, geeesh, while the salesman went into the storeroom to find the new boxed AR-10, I made the mistake of looking at the numerous rows of rifles out on the floor.
:uhoh: ..... :what:
Found a REALLY REALLY NICE UBERTI 1873 SHORT RIFLE! Color case hardened receiver, half octagonal half round barrel (that is really nice!) Crescent butt plate, nice wood, in .45 Colt.

So I bought that rifle too. First time EVER I bought two rifles ....though I once bought a rifle and a revolver at the same time.

Now .... need to find a good optic for the AR-10.

What can I afford?
