Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Yesterday bought more of my first few boxes of 124 grain 9mm *fmj* ammo, for the Star BM. It was bought for the range (my carry guns are DA/SA).
Only two minor hiccups (FTFeed) in approx. 130 rounds with these heavier bullets---much better than using any of my 115 grain *fmj* "training" ammo. Hope this helps somebody.

Good extractors are not an issue in many of these older guns; it's recoil force with heavier bullets (--from my gun smith--) to complete the extraction process etc.

But...the new box of Federal Automatch .22 and "Champion" caused constant iissues in the M&P .22 today, mostly extraction. You might want to skip most Federal in the M&P.

3 days ago I bought a Ruger 77/44 that I am going to have our own @MachIVshooter chop and thread for a suppressor.

2 days ago I picked up a 16" Wilson Combat Recon 6.5 Grendel barrel, a Toolcraft Grendel BCG and a Superlative Arms adjustable gas block.

1 day ago I bought a pack of 100, 305gr cast Hollowpoints and an MCARBO shim/spring kit for the 77/44.

Today I took a break and let my wallet cool off for a bit.

Kel-Tec p32 tan Cerakote, a couple of DeSantis pocket holsters, a few extra 10 rd mags and a case of Fiocchi .32 acp 73 gr fmj ammo.

Well...........tonight I bought a Nissan Frontier and my wife said I had to give her some money from my "Bullet Fund".
Does that count?

It's early here. The Magma Master Caster is due in on the Brown truck. Plans are to make some modifications today for the building where the casting machine will reside. Also, shop for odds and ends to get the bullet casting going. I'm happy but there is no budget left for other stuff. The upside is I had the stockpiling of reloading supplies for several years. I am ready for a famine. I don't think the slow up in gun buying has entirely to do with the election of 2016.

Brown Truck Came: The Master Caster came today. Girl unloaded the machine. She looked like she could have played on the US Soccer Team (America is Great). Finally got the machine into the house. Unloaded everything including seven converted molds. I should be running bullets by the end of the week. Headed out tomorrow to get hardware including a battery of the scales. The scales are for working up alloys. Remember, the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

The brown truck dropped off my new scope & rings yesterday. A Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x 24mm scope with an illuminated reticle, never had an illuminated reticle before, other than a red dot and a holographic sight. Along with a high set of Vortex 30mm rings. Got it on the Henry single shot in .308 today, checking for eye relief, hammer clearance, etc. Should be good to go in its present position and I think it looks like it belongs on a Henry Single shot even though it's marketed for AR platforms and the reticle has holdover points that supposedly cover both .223/5.56 & .308 loads. Has a very good field of view on lower power. Making for a good "woods gun" during deer season. Along with enough higher power to cover anything I'll ever require out of it.
