Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

LGS had as clearance rack with some reloading supplies marked 50% off. Had a box of remington .40 BJHP bullets for $150. I asked if they were 50% off the $150 price and the owner said yes. $75 for a box of 1000 that retails for $258.99 at midway. I couldnt resist.. might have to shoot Open Major next time!! 20200223_192532.jpg

Brand-new retail Ruger Mark IV Standard, short, thin barrel. Replaced the identical Ruger I sold several months ago (for 1987 "Sig P225 cash").

My previous Mark IV literally had about one 'jam' in about 2,000 rds.
This new gun had 2 stovepipes in 100 rds. of brand-new CCI Minimag. Had already put about six-10 drops of Breakfree (CLP) in the action before testing.

Today.... with 100 total rds. of Golden Bullet and 100 total Fed. Automatch, it was perfect. Good enough for the range. Nice sight distance and trigger!

A FR G1 Mas36 rear rifle sight. It is adjustable for both horizontal and verticle windage and pretty rare.

Also picked up a vintage Redfield 70 peep sight for a 1903 Springfield project.

Stack-On GCB-500 Steel Pistol/Ammo Cabinet. Probably should have bought the 900 but I am promising myself that enough is enough. We shall see.

I have in general over the years ignored buying ammunition. Part of the reason is I do a lot of reloading my own but the biggest reason is it is more fun and rewarding to buy a gun instead of spending a equal amount on ammunition. So I ordered a couple of magazines for a Ruger SR22 and 1k of Fiocchi 62 gr. FMJ today.
