The extractor on my Howa 1500 in .204 has a small chip in it. Most likely, it was a metallurgical problem from the start. I've fired around 1500 rounds through this rifle, and absolutely love it.

However...I can't seem to find a replacement extractor! My Google searches aren't turning up much, other than there seems to be only one location for these things, and I didn't have much luck with my e-mail queries to Sports World in Tulsa.

Can someone assist me in locating this part?

Sports World in Tulsa??

Howa distributer in the USA is:

Legacy Sports International
4750 Longley Lane, Suite 209, Reno, NV 89502
Call TOLL FREE: 1-800-5-LEGACY
Direct: 1-775-828-0555
Fax: 1-775-828-0565

BTW: Calling usually works way better then email when trying to get answers.

Those people get inundated with junk email just like everone else.

Try Midway USA. They have extracters for the Weathby Vanguard which is built for them by Howa. Should be the same but call and confirm.

I do not buy from Legacy since they quoted me 4.00 plus shipping for an action screw.

Hope this helps.

Thanks rc and DallasJack - I tracked down what I needed...but its an odd process. Legacy was very good about directing my to Sports World in Tulsa. When I called them they told me I needed to send an e-mail for the parts request. When I explained that I had done that already they found my e-mail in their "spam" folder.

$15 dollar part and $12.50 shipping. Kinda hurts, but not having the rifle would hurt worse!
