Those of you who knew me from TFL might remember the dilema I was in after I got my assignment to Korea.

I had a follow on to Eglin AFB in Florida and have tried to convince the family to go as well.

Well, I have put my desires aside and have changed my follow on back to Tucson.

The family wanted to stay and since they are the most important thing in my life I decided to get it changed.

Denfoote, you said "If you go they will follow". I believe they would of but they wouldnt of been happy. Wish it would of been that easy to convince them.

Then again, since they all are teenagers convincing them was almost impossible.

So, its another 2 years in the desert of Arizona.

Am I unhappy? I would have to say no cause they are happy and thats all that matters. Sure was easier moving when they were younger.

So, see all you Tucsonians in June. :)

At least

you can go out in the desert and shoot. Here in MerryLand you have to go to a club for the most part.

Seems to be getting more dificult to shoot in the desert in a good area. We used to go to this pit, a nice large area dug into the ground, good backstop. No signs saying we couldn't be there, it was okay as far as the map looked too. Then the sheriff came, wrote down our names and told us to clean up and never come back, turns out it was a clay pit owned by some company, no identification, no equipment. Bah.

And then another area, the rancher who owned the land told us we could go shoot there. Now, we went back, the gate down the road was locked off. Maybe it was a one day fluke for that one, but we haven't gone back.

At least there are plenty of ranges...

Welcome back to Tucson Lennyjoe, right in time for summer in June too!

WhoknowsWho, I have shot at the same area your talking about. If thats the same area im thinkin.

Skunk, was a bummer that things didnt work out here in Korea. Will look you all up if I pass thru Cali......unarmed of course:cool:

The family was estatic when I told them. They are what truely matters the most in my life. Must be the way I was raised. Not having a close family and all.

Looks like Im gonna have to plan hunting trips up north for deer, elk and turkey season.

Am looking forward to knocking them doves out of the sky again. Great bird hunting there.

Sounds like you made the right decision. I drug (dragged?!) my family all over the world and with teenagers sometimes you have to do a little for them.
