I am looking for the heaviest modern WML out there. I want to add as much weight out front of my pistol as I can for some games and I think the light can help.

I want it to be a decent light and the ability to find holsters for it is a plus. When I’m not playing my games with it I’ll add it to my hd handguns.

Your input is appreciated.

Are you sure you're on the right forum? A WML? And a holster for it?

No, I don't know what a WML is. You mentioned wanting a holster for it, and putting it on a gun, and playing games with it.

I'm assuming its something from XBox or something similar. Maybe it you had told us what WML is in the first place, we would have a better idea what you are talking about.

WML - weapon mounted light. A fairly common abbreviation in the firearms world. Most here on an internet gun forum (and accessories sub forum) know exactly what it is. The ‘games’ I speak of are competitive matches that I shoot in every once in awhile.

Just so we're clear, I'm not the OP.

It's extremely common to see acronyms used during discussions in the firearms community. WML is one that is in common use. A bit of a tip for you for the future. If you're unsure of the meaning of an acronym being used, simply type it into a search engine along with the word "gun" and you'll almost always have your answer.

Sorry, I was taught that the first time you used an acronym in any writing, etiquette demanded that the first time it is used in a piece, the full name was spelled out. If the writer can't be clear in writing, its usually not worth the effort to do further research.

we are "old school". i bet many here never learned cursive writing. the internet has changed a lot of things.

not making an excuse, just lamenting the past.

You'll find a lot of times that the rules for writing that were taught to you in the '40's when you were learning to read are rarely followed on internet forums today. Like murf, I'm not making an excuse, just telling it how it is.

There is a lot of truth to all the above.

While the rules of formal writing haven't changed...I still know the difference between the the use of Shall and Will...internet writing isn't formal writing. We use more line breaks to make it easier on the reader, so the thesis sentence at the start of each paragraph is a thing of the pass...Please avoid the wall/block of text :fire:

Typing on computers allows the reader to easily highlight and determine the meanings of new words/abbreviations. The form even provides a list of common ones https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...bbreviations-acronyms-and-terminology.370999/

However, we are endeavoring to also avoid "text talk" here on the forum. Punctuation shouldn't be considered a dead art form and proof reading should still be practiced...plus we have the Edit button

TLR-1 HPL Gun Light is the heaviest I'm aware of...about 158 grams
Anyway, back to the subject at hand. ;) I'm guessing it's pretty tough to find a holster for a pistol with that light mounted on it. Can't imagine what that would even look like.
