Heirloom knife

Found this in box of "stuff" in the attic. Seems wifes Grandpa died in the 70's and she has been toting this box around unopened. He was a MCPO - carpenter mate. Pearl harbor survivor. Most of the box was letters and memorabelia from his career.
It is an Schrade Walden 804. they stopped making them in 1952, near as I can tell. Wish this thing could talk!!

I have a small Case M279f a Gents knife all SS, I thought I lost it but found it 3 days ago. I wish it could talk, I got it from some family member but do not remember who.
