i have spoken with the gunsmith @ Dixie gun works "JODY"

he sent me a wedge that wasn't even close to the right size
the size i need is based on the slot dimensions
slot is approx .200 high x .700 wide and the guns is approx .850 wide.

been smithing for 34 yrs and this one has gotten me beat so far, customer doesnt want to put an arm & leg into this,, so making one is out,,unless i cant find one

any help will be greatly appreciated:banghead::banghead:

I have gotten wedges from Dixie, they needed to be "fit" to the gun.
You might be best off determining the maker and ordering manufacture specific part from some where else, as Track of the Wolf or Numrich, etc

wedge

this sight is great! I never knew about the parts sight, VTI, it is a great one!!.

thanks guys

I have tried all the parts houses i use and know of.
VTI is new to me,,,but Fingers thank you sir, i will contact them for sure
the pistol in question looks xactly like the one you posted,,,except the engraving and gold inlay is not as detailed as your's,,and of coarse the gun isn't as minty

Making a new wedge is hardly a big job. I've got one gun which needs one since the old one is too loose. I figure that if it takes me much over an hour to make and fit then I'm doddling around too much.

How many hours will you have into this by the time you locate and order one up only to find out that it STILL needs to be fitted to the gun?
