my dad has a rifle that i think is a 1917 enfield, it has a sporterized stock and shoots 30/06 the serial number starts with flo34, can anybody confirm thats what this rifle is, and how much are they worth, he just bought a 7mag browning a-bolt for deer hunting and he is thinking about selling it.

It might be a sporterized 1917 in 30-06. However, Remington and BSA made commercial rifles with the 1917 action, in which case it might have some collector value. Hard to say with the info given. Pictures would help a lot.

OK, so maybe it isn't worthless, but I would still like to see pics of it. :D

As for what it is worth, if you have a collectible firearms place near you, you could have them identify it.

Once you know what it is, you could always go to https://store.bluebookinc.com/Firearms/Default.aspx and buy the book or get a subscription. Or find someone who has the book.

But pics would probably help the guys here identify the rifle and give you a ball park value.

You could also check gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com and see what they are selling/listed for.
