I want a bolt action carbine that meets the following specs, and I will pay well to get one that meets them:

Caliber: A centerfire pistol caliber (Rifle Calibers are not allowed at my local range, I'd have to drive 60 miles to get to a rifle range) preferably a relatively inexpensive caliber.

Barrel: 16"-18" barrel, also needs to be threaded for a suppressor (I know they're 'illegal' without the tax stamp and I've made arrangements for said stamp).

Magazine: Detachable, good capacity, 10-20 rounds.

Stock: Wood or good quality polymer, no real preference.

Sights: Iron sights are a plus, but drilling and tapping for a scope mount is a must.

Know a gun that fits this description, or know where I can get parts to have a gun built to fit this description?

I would have to agree the Ruger is probably your best bet in a bolt gun. The Remington 788 was offered briefly in 44 Mag and the Winchester 43 was offered in several pistol caliber. Any .308 bolt face is a candidate for conversion to 45 acp/ 45 Super/ or 45 Rowland.

you're in the middle of texas and you can't find a range that will let you shoot a real rifle?

seriously?

edit: i missed where you said you would have to drive 60 miles. still, i'd just drive the 60 miles and get a rifle you want. i have two rifle ranges 75 miles on either side of me that i drive to all the time. it's not that big of a deal.

ruger rotary 44 mag. If you must build it a savage action with a 9mm barrel would be excellent. Even better if you could somehow make it accept glock mags.

CMDR, if you're still looking, I found the perfect destroyer for your project.

How about an ar 15 with in 9mm with a 9mm upper?

Edit...My bad, didn't see the bolt requirement.

Thinking the OP stated is was to be a bolt action.

A John's Guns internally suppressed Ruger 77/44 comes to mind, the only problem would be extending the mag capacity. The thing is a nice little package and a hoot to shoot.

Buddy of mine took a mauser action and rechambered it to a .45 WSM. It is a tack driver out to 200 yards. I think for the beater gun, blank barrel, and a stock from boyds he has about $600 in it.

post 39 Brian (beat me to it)
have a good hard look at the Ruger 77/357, rotary mag, bolt action, syn stock, carbine 38.5" OAL
shoots 38/357

10-20 round mags, no... but what for on a bolt action anyway ?
thread the barrel after, if determined to do that on a pistol caliber bolt action

You have an interesting set of requirements. Not easily met. Is this for hunting hogs at night? If not, what is the intended purpose???

the Ruger Blackhawk considers the 30 carbine a pistol caliber. you could plug the gas port on a M1 carbine and make it a straight pull bolt action. it has been done before and meets the rest of your criteria.

The 4-shot, bolt-action Ruger 77/44 in .44 Mag has been mentioned, and there is also now a 5-shot, bolt-action Ruger 77/357 in .357 Mag. Neither has quite the magazine capacity you want and you would need a gunsmith to shorten and thread the barrel, but both come from the factory with 18 1/2 inch barrels so there is plenty to work with. Both calibers allow a range from quiet subsonic to powerful magnum loads.
