Help me decide

I was reading a thread earlier and Twoclones proved that I am a dummy. Since I have recently found out that I can convert my Encore pro-hunter to a handgun configuration. I have decided to use the pachmayr decelerator grips and forend. I just can't decide on a caliber. I am leaning towards 7mm-08 I have never fired a rifle in this caliber but have heard great things about the cartridge. I am also thinking .308 win. I currently have two rifles chambered in this caliber and a couple hundred rounds of handloads and factory ammo mix for them.

So long story short what are your thoughts? Stay with the .308 or branch into a new caliber with the 7mm-08?

I would do the .308, you already have rifles using it and its not as expensive to feed.

You can't go wrong with either round. I would say 308 as you already have ammo and are set up for it. I have both 308 and 7mm-08 rifles, both are outstanding calibers.
