I resized a .222 case without enough lube on it and the down stroke of the press ram tore the rim off of the case. This has happened a couple of times in the past with other calibers and dies and the RCBS stuck case remover has solved the problem. In this case, I am using a Forster BR die that has the expander ball high on the stem, just below the case mouth. Unlike regular dies, I can't unscrew the stem to move the end of it away from the case head so that it can be drilled & tapped for the case extractor. The high position expander engages the case neck which is fully pressed into the die within 1/4 turn of the stem.
Any ideas?
Thanks
